Cop chopped, left for dead

Trinidad and Tobago's Newsday "A POLICEMAN was chopped and left for dead by bandits during a hold-up at his Fyzabad home on Tuesday night. He however remains warded in serious condition under police guard at San Fernando General Hospital (SFGH).

PC Robert Henry of Siparia Police Station received chops to the head and arm when he fought with three bandits who invaded his home and threatened to kill his family. While Henry’s two-year-old daughter was unharmed, his four-months pregnant wife, Laverne, was attacked by the bandits. She sustained minor injuries and was taken to the SFGH where she was attended to and later discharged.."
