Bartlett warns against sensational murder reports

- JamaicaObserver.com: "MONTEGO BAY, St James -- The sensational reporting of murders here may hurt the tourism sector, the country's main foreign exchange earner, Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett warned media practitioners.
According to Bartlett, the nation is on track to earn a projected US$2-billion from the hospitality industry this year. He disclosed that up to October this year, the sector earned US$1.6-billion. Last year, the sector raked in US$1.976-billion.
'The concern I have goes more than to the crime itself. It goes into the things like reporting,' Bartlett noted."
