Kaieteur News: "A pensioner working in the Ministry of Finance is one of the highest paid public officer in Guyana. Sources now say that by offering so much money to the pensioner, the government is breaking all the rules of employment.
The pensioner, 63-year-old Clyde Roopchand, earns a salary of $1.8 million per month and an allowance of $300,000. He is also in receipt of his public service pension and gratuity."
