Nation News "A YOUNGSTER, who thought he could get away with snatching a bag from a woman in The City, found out it would not be that easy. Around 2:20 p.m. yesterday, after grabbing the bag near Cumberland Street, the youth was pursued on foot by several bystanders until he fled into an abandoned building on Mason Hall Street.
When the SATURDAY SUN arrived, the building was surrounded by angry residents from the nearby community and passers-by.
Members of the Royal Barbados Police Force were quickly on the scene and, after several minutes of searching the building, escorted the man to one of the waiting police vehicles. The young man looked very scared and crestfallen as the crowd jeered him."
