Nation News "A WOMAN is questioning whether a bill from an attorney for services rendered is fair, reasonable and justified.
The woman, who hired the attorney to sell her house, said she was floored when she received a bill from him for three times more than the amount they had agreed upon - from $10 000 to $39 147.
The bill started rising after they got into a dispute over the payment of his fees.
The woman told SATURDAY SUN she almost collapsed when she saw the bill delivered by courier last week.
'We had agreed to an amount of $10 000. I called him on the telephone and told him that the bank needed a breakdown of his fees, and he told me that it was now $20 000, but he would give me a discount of $5 000. I asked him how he arrived at that figure."
