Trinidad Express "Maria Ward, the Guyanese national found dead at her Longdenville apartment on Thursday, died from poisoning, an autopsy done at the Forensic Science Centre in St James found yesterday.
Ward, 22, was found lying in the living room of the apartment, near the body of her companion, Christopher Aines, 24, also a national of Guyana. An autopsy on his body will be done on Monday.
Police suspect the couple drank poison in a suicide pact."
