Attorney David Markus filed the motion Monday. A hearing is set for Friday morning.
Banton has been in jail on a drug charge since December. The motion says he's lost 40 pounds and was not given a diet in accordance with his religious views. He's a Rastafarian, a religion that places importance on a vegetable- and fruit-based diet."
