Nation News : "JOHAN BJORN BJERKHAMN returned to Barbados from Miami yesterday morning and gave police a statement on the circumstances surrounding his son Luke's death on April 11.
By evening, after being released on bail, he headed back to Miami for further medical treatment on his left hand which sustained gunshot injuries on the night his 11-year-old son Luke was shot to death.
Bjerkhamn was placed on $100 000 bail with two sureties when he appeared in court yesterday charged with unlawfully killing Luke.
Around 8 a.m. yesterday, Bjerkhamn arrived at the District 'E' Police Station in St Peter, accompanied by family members and his attorneys Sir Richard Cheltenham and Andrew Pilgrim.
Over the course of three hours he was questioned by police investigators, leaving briefly for a medical check-up. Upon his return, police completed the process of charging Bjerkhamn before he was taken to the Holetown Magistrates' Court."
