Police questioning parents of child found dead

The Nassau Guardian "Investigators from the Central Detective Unit are questioning the parents of the three-year-old girl found dead in a car in Fox Hill on Saturday, police said yesterday.

According to police reports, sometime around 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, the young girl was discovered in a green 2001 Daewoo vehicle on Abner Street, off Fox Hill Road.

'Police responded and discovered the toddler in the front passenger seat of the vehicle clad in a jeans jumper and red shirt with no visual signs of trauma,' reported police press liaison officer Sergeant Chrislyn Skippings.

She said EMS officials pronounced the girl dead on the scene."
