‘Very gruesome’

Trinidad and Tobago's Newsday "“VERY gruesome”, was how Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar described the discovery of dismembered body parts believed to have belonged to a woman and child, at the Forres Park landfill at Claxton Bay on Wednesday. She said Government was taking steps to halt the “bullet train” of crime.

Persad-Bissessar made her feelings on the discovery of the remains known while speaking at a post-Cabinet media briefing yesterday. She said that at the current rate of murders taking place (300 in 199 days as of Wednesday) there could be 550 murders by year’s end.
