Antigua and Barbuda Awaits Hurricane Earl

The West Indian News: "Antigua and Barbuda has closed its lone international airport and opened hurricane shelters country-wide, as the estimated 70,000 residents there await the arrival of Hurricane Earl packing winds of up to 85 miles an hour.
Prime Minister, Baldwin Spencer also announced that the electricity grid would shut down only if absolutely necessary.
There are at least 9,000 Guyanese living and working there; mostly in construction, private security and the hospitality industry.
Several other islands — St. Kitts and Nevis, Montserrat, Anguilla and St. Martin- which are heavily populated by Guyanese have also issued hurricane warnings."
