Image via WikipediaJamaicaObserver.com: "MIAMI, USA – One day after a close encounter with a Category Four Hurricane Earl, residents of the Leeward Islands were bracing for the passage of Tropical Storm Fiona that was moving quickly towards the chain of islands in the Eastern Caribbean.
At 8:00 am local time, Fiona was located 500 miles east of the Leeward Islands and the Miami-based National Hurricane Centre (NHC) said that tropical storm warnings have already been issued for St Martin and St Barthelemy while a tropical storm watch is in effect for Antigua and Barbuda, Montserrat, St Kitts and Nevis, Anguilla, St Maarten, Saba and St Eustatius."
