Image by Getty Images via @daylifeTrinidad and Tobago's Newsday "PRIME Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar yesterday said a new Bill mandates the death penalty for killing a judicial/law enforcement officer, removes obstacles to hanging killers, yet sets out three classes of murder so as to give judges a discretion in sentencing.
At present the death penalty is mandated by the Offences Against the Person Act which says, “Every person convicted of murder shall suffer death,” she revealed."
