Scores of people, most noticeably members of the police force, gathered in the Criminal High Court yesterday for the sentencing hearing.
Constable Lester Garvin Remy was shot four times while he and other colleagues were executing a search warrant on a home in Ciceron, in South Castries.
The incident sent shock waves throughout the St Lucia Police Force and the rest of the society as it was the first time a police officer was killed here in the line of duty.
