Kaieteur News: "Former light-welterweight boxer Linden ‘Buckman’ Mortley was gunned down at around 19:45 hrs last night on a bridge connecting Festival City to Lamaha Springs.
Mortley, said to be in his forties, and of Lot 13 Sussex Street, Charlestown, was found lying on the bridge with a gunshot wound beneath the ear.
The slain man was wearing a white vest and a pair of three-quarter camouflage pants.
He was positively identified by his wife, who visited the scene after Kaieteur News informed her of his demise."
