GIRL, NINE, STABBED

Trinidad and Tobago's Newsday "Standard Two students of San Fernando Anglican Primary School are praying for the full recovery of classmate Aaliyah Felming who was stabbed in the middle of a dispute between a relative and her mother, Denise, at their home in Penal on Tuesday morning.

Denise, 31, managed to escape a beating by the man, but her nine-year-old daughter was not so lucky as the relative grabbed a knife and stabbed the girl in the kitchen of their rented house at Quarry Road, Morne Diablo, Penal at about 8.30 am.

Neighbours, alerted by loud screams, rushed Denise and Aaliyah to the San Fernando General Hospital. The 43-year-old relative has since surrendered and remains in police custody."
