Trinidad and Tobago's Newsday "A LONDON tribunal has ruled that the mandatory death sentence for the killing of someone during the commission of an arrestable offence is unconstitutional.
The ruling handed down by British Law Lords — Lords Rodger, Brown, Kerr, Clarke and Dyson — could affect scores of prisoners currently on Death Row.
In a 24 page ruling, the Judicial Committee ruled that Section 2 of the Criminal Law (Amendment) Act of 1997, has abolished what was referred to as Felony Murder."
