AOL Travel News: "The late songstress Amy Winehouse might have hailed from London, but it seems she had a special connection with the Carribean island of St. Lucia.
The Grammy winning singer spent a great amount of time there, earning the affections of locals who are now mourning her loss, according to Breaking Travel News.
'We have lost a good friend and the world has lost a great talent,' said tourism and civil aviation senator Allen Chastanet on behalf of St. Lucians. 'We were fortunate to see another side of Amy, and will be forever grateful for the acts of kindness and compassion she extended to less fortunate Saint Lucians during her visits with us."
