Suicide in police station

Trinidad and Tobago's Newsday "A 19-YEAR-OLD man who was to be charged after he snatched a woman’s gold chain allegedly committed suicide late yesterday evening in a holding cell at the Central Police Station (CPS) in Port-of-Spain.

Investigators speculate that Anthony Harry was “scared” as this was his first offence and decided to take his own life. At about 5.30 pm, officers who went to check on Harry, found him hanging from a bandana (a large handkerchief) with one end secured around his neck and the other tied around the bars of the cell.

A check of the Mon Repos Road, Morvant man revealed he was already dead."
