Emera Caribbean Ltd. will sell its 19.1 per cent stake to an investment company that owns Barbados Light & Power Company Ltd.
Both companies are subsidiaries of Emera Inc., a Halifax-based utility company that also owns Nova Scotia Power.
The buyer of Emera’s St. Lucia investment is Light and Power Holdings, which is 80 per cent owned by Emera. LPH was created to take advantage of potential investment opportunities in and outside of Barbados."
